The University of Utah welcomed ten members of Ukraine’s national curling team to campus dorms for the summer, thanks to a partnership with the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation. In the midst of instability and turmoil in the team’s home nation, this all-encompassing humanitarian and sporting project strives to give a safe haven and training possibilities.
Before moving on campus, the nine athletes and their coach arrived in Salt Lake City on May 10. Curling is a sport in which participants slide stones across a sheet of ice toward a target location. – Source
